The Purpose of This Website

The purpose of this website is to share information with people who want to build or market their own website. Below is more detail on the purpose for each section of my website.

Web Design
I have listed web design companies here so that someone with a burning desire to get a website up and running can do so without having to learn anything about HTML, XHTML CSS coding and web design software. There is ALSO information for beginning, intermediate, and professional web designers who want to learn quicker and better ways to design websites for personal or business use.
Web Marketing
This section provids tools for marketing your website, getting your website discovered and bringing in more visitors. You will find tools and applications and information for building email lists and for getting your website name out into the public so your website can will bring in more visitors, members, customers, clients, MONEY or whatever it is you are looking for.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Search Engine Optimization or SEO is about tweaking your websites and web pages so that they rank high in search engines and directories like Google, Alta Vista, DMOZ.org, Yahoo.com, and Bing.com, among others. Things that affect how high your website is listed in a search engine are many and varied. They include things like inbound links pointing towards your website, "keywords" used on a page and keyword density, the meta tag content you use for the title, description, and keywords, and the "alt" tag content used to describe your images and flash objects. I have listed some awesome free and paid resources for learning more about the important aspects of SEO for the beginner and expert alike.
Computer Security
How can you run a website for your business, or even for fun, if a virus has frozen your computer, or worse, destroyed the files on your computer? How can you run a website business, if your personal financial data or that of your customers' has been stolen because Spyware was installed on your computer? The answer is that YOU CANNOT! You cannot run a website and correspond with your customers or people on your mailing list or make any changes to your website if your computer is "broken' because of a computer virus, spyware, malware, Trojan Horse, browser hijacker, etc., etc. So it is imperative that you learn some security basics to keep your computer and your website business up and running and making money or helping your members (if it's not for profit). Here I share with you some key tools and information on various Anti-Virus, Firewall, Anti-Spyware, Anti-Malware, etc., programs that I have found very helpful.

You cannot waste time trying to figure out where everything is and what you need to be doing right then to accomplish your goals and make money for your business.
